It's Gettin' Hot in Here!
So, it's been a few weeks since I've blogged...it has been just so HOT here in Dallas that I don't want to do anything! Yesterday, it was the hottest day since Labor Day 2000! Yow! Just very grateful that I work inside a nice cool grocery store, and not on a hot roof somewhere. So, here I am, back with a new style of card for two challenges...Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World and CAS-ual Fridays. CAS-ual Fridays is sponsored by Lawn Fawn stamps this week--you all know I've been coveting those stamps for a bit......Here are the details:
The Tuesday Trigger reminds me of my Grandma Ruby--she used to crochet those afghans for everyone in the family. She also loved African Violets, so I wanted to do some violets with Alcohol Inks on Glossy Paper (both by Ranger). Here it is! I gently Alcohol Inked the background with the light turquoise from the Trigger, then "stamped" on my violets. A couple of chipboard butterflies and a fun sentiment finished off the card. Hope you like! Thanks for stopping by and stay cool, man!
