Dreaming of Snow......

Yep! We're on Day 36 of temps reaching 100 degrees plus! I'm dreaming of snow....heck, I'm dreaming of 95 at this point! That will have to wait, seeing as we are predicted to have at least 25 more days of this heat.  So, the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays is to use glitter on top of Glue Dots.  How fun!  I do love Glue Dots--they are SO strong and very versatile--I use them a lot.  So, without further ado, here are the details:
The only glitter I have is iridescent white, so I was thinking about making the Glue Dots into snow.  And since it is time to start planning for Christmas, I decided to make a holiday card.  I started by stamping the sentiment with Perfect Medium (by Ranger), then embossed with sparkly embossing powder.  I colored the background with Distress Ink (Faded Jeans), using water to dilute the color and a sponge to create a gradient effect. (Not easy--I had to do it a couple of times--I kept getting streaks).  Then, a light dusting of Perfect Pearls for shine.  I applied the Glue Dots and pressed the glitter into them, then finished with a small snowflake stamped with the Faded Jeans Distress Ink.  I think it came out nicely, but getting the ink even was difficult.

Hope you like!  Everyone in the HEAT, stay cool! Until next time!
