A New Variety Pack!

So, Emily and I have been exploring inks and stamps a bit more than we had in the past!  We totally love using different inking techniques to create beautiful background papers for our cards.  Our favorite technique involves heat embossing an image with white or clear embossing ink and powder, then covering the paper with Distress Ink to make the clear/white image pop out (it's a resist technique).  So, this card set is our latest variety pack using this awesome technique.  Take a look!  They are available to purchase on the Etsy Shop.

You can see we stamped the sentiments with Perfect Medium embossing ink, coated in clear embossing powder and heat set.  Then we used 4 different colors of Distress Ink (Barn Door, Faded Jeans, Wild Honey, Peeled Paint) to color the paper.  The Distress Ink will not stick to the embossed area, so as more color is applied, the sentiments pop out.  We used some simple starburst stamps to create a background pattern--the different shades come from stamping 2-3 times without reinking in between.  A simple embellie and these puppies were DONE!  Thanks for looking!
